KWC Quaich Chapter's
January Robbie Burns Supper

Wednesday, January 23
Registration at 6:15 pm, dinner at 7 pm

Dear Fellow Companions of the Quaich:

Happy New Year, fellow Companions! I hope you had a great Christmas break with family, good friends, lots of food and a few good drams. Speaking of drams, it is January and that means Robbie Burns supper and more great drams.

The 2019 Robbie Burns Supper & Scotch Tasting event takes place Wednesday, January 23 — once again in the upstairs Tap Room at Cambridge’s historic 13 Food and Beverage.

We are fortunate to have Jay Baker, our very own Burns aficionado, returning as our host. He will give the Address to the Haggis and the Immortal Memory. Our favourite Scottish piper Robin Aggus returns to help us bring in the Haggis.

To add some variety to the entertainment this year, an octet (8 members of the Grand Philharmonic Choir) will sing a selection of Scottish folk songs.

The festivities begin with registration at 6:15 pm. Supper starts promptly at 7 pm and includes a trio of quality whiskies and a tasty traditional Burns Supper.

Our featured single malts include:

1) OLD MALT CASK MORTLACH 11YO. 50% SINGLE CASK
2) GLENFARCLAS 105 10YO 60%
3) A Mystery whisky that starts with a B

Celebrate the birthday of the world’s most beloved poet — and the “patron saint” of single malt — by wearing a wee bit o' tartan: a sash, skirt, trews, tie, or go all the way and kilt to the hilt.

The event is limited to 30 participants, so members and guests are urged to register as soon as possible.
